The itinerary is down to you, and with the guidance and knowledge of your driver/guide, decide what you want to do on the day or let us create a full itinerary including the destination and activities. Your driver/guide knows all the best places to visit, and can take you to places the larger cruise ship tours coaches cant visit.

PRIVATE FULLY GUIDED SCENIC TOUR FROM AKAROA TO CHRISTCHURCH AND RETURN
Leaving Akaroa you will enjoy the spectacular scenery of Banks Peninsula, a volcanic mass, encompassing two large harbours and many smaller bays and coves, before arriving approximately 2-hours later in Christchurch.
Christchurch is New Zealand's second largest city and gateway to the South Island. Bordered by hills and the Pacific Ocean, it is situated on the edge of the Canterbury Plains that stretch to the Southern Alps. Photo stops are made en route.
A convenience stop is made in the small rural town of Little River, halfway to the city. We continue over Gebbies Pass to Lyttelton Harbour, then over Christchurch's Port Hills, stopping at the Sign of the Takahe for views to the Southern Alps across the Canterbury Plains and down to the city.
Arriving in Christchurch City late morning we drive through the city where you will see the damage caused by the earthquake. There is time to visit Canterbury Museum and Botanic Gardens and opportunity for you to buy lunch, before heading back to Akaroa.
There are also other options if we have time on the way back, such as Barry's Bay Cheese Factory for a sample of their crafted cheeses and chance to purchase delicious New Zealand cheeses and wine.

Willowbank Wildlife Reserve to view New Zealand's national icon 'the Kiwi', plus many other native and exotic animals and birds (entrance is NZ$32.50 adults and NZ$12.00 children).
Orana Wildlife Park has an extensive collection of New Zealand native animals (entrance is NZ$34.50 adults and NZ$9.00 children).
International Antarctic Centre (entrance NZ$39pp - this fee does not include Hagglund or 4D show, but is suitable for shorter visits).
Air Force Museum (free entry).
Shopping (could be expensive!).
